Pizza 23 Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

@Pizza23OKC is one of my regular lunch spots. They offer a lunch special for $10 that includes a salad, personal pizza and a drink. They make their pizza fresh and the crust is outstanding. The pizzas are unique, my favorite is the Blue Burger pizza with

I love the fresh tasting ingredients Pizza 23 uses. The service has always been awesome.

The pizza here is top notch. Interesting menu and a fantastic buttery-crust on each pie. Each one on the menu has a non-traditional twist to it, and I think this place makes a nice splash in the billion other pizza joints in this neighborhood. The place is bare-bones and minimalist, but I who expects a red prime atmosphere at a pizza place. Still nothing to complain about, just observation. The staff here is mediocre, a bunch of teenagers. Both my girlfriend and I have trouble every time we go in. At first I thought it was because we were going at off times, so we decided to try them out on a Saturday night......same problem. The Pros 1) Quality pizza and cool combinations for toppings 2) Flavorful crust 3) Easy location The Cons 1) the staff needs work, for sure. Every time I have been in here they are always texting and goofing off. Fortunately, the food makes me turn a blind eye to the poor staff. 2) Avoid the rumble bread. It's just not worth it.

I love me some Pizza 23. I usually come for their amazing lunch special. For $10 you get a side salad and any one of their pizzas that you want baked fresh in this super cute personal sized pizza. My personal favorite is the Blue Burger pizza with the chopped salad. Nom nom nom. This last time my friend ordered the chips and salsa and the guacamole was pretty darn tasty. I haven't really experienced the slow service issue of other reviewers, but I think they are pretty quick at lunch. Love their patio, and can't wait to work my way through the menu one mini pizza at a time.

I really really wanted to love Pizza 23. Mostly because I want to be on their patio all the time. But even if their food was great, the service I received made the experience awful. (spoiler- the food wasn't great) When we arrived, we asked to sit on the patio, and we were seated promptly. However we were sat under a speaker that was blasting some sort of twangy guitar music. So we asked to move (we already ordered drinks, but hadn't received them.) 15 minutes after we moved we finally got our waters dropped off, but didn't get to order our pizza. Once we ordered our pizza, our server said it would be right out, and we watched 2 tables that came in after us get theirs. Then the worst thing happened... The server came by to refill our waters but only had one hand on his pitcher (the other hand was empty) so he was flinging it over the table.. including on my tablet that was laying in front of me. I quickly grabbed it, as he just looked at it and didn't move the pitcher that was spilling everywhere! He said... "oh I'm sorry" not let me get you a napkin, or even a real apology. Then 45 min into waiting for our pizza I go inside to ask when my pizza will be ready, but even though there is no one inside it took me standing directly in front of a server so they couldn't walk off for them to acknowledge me. They whispered something to each other, and said it would be out soon. At the end of the experience, he took 20% off our order. Which definitely didn't cover water damage, and if I hadn't been starving I would have gladly left. The pizza taste like something you would order from dominoes. There's absolutely nothing special about this place but the patio. Especially not with so many other great pizza places so close by. (I suggest The Wedge, or Sauced)

Excellent pizza, better atmosphere. I came here with my friend adam yesterday. We both ordered the same pizza and the same beer because we have the same name. Like my old man always said, 2 Adams don't make a right, they make a covalent bond. We got the cheese pizza, and the Belgian ale, terrific choices. Normally I would give a place like this 5 stars, but I had to deduct a star because it began to rain, and we were eating outside. However, we were moved to a table inside upon request.

We went for early dinner, the waitress was really nice and the service was fast. The food was really good! If you're in the mood for some pizza, this is a great local place to go!

  • Jenna P.

Good, but Painfully .....slow ......service. They must have been having an off day. we sat our selves, food took longer than you could imagine and I only saw 2 employees ( maybe they were cooking the food too?, lol) and literally half the tables were dirty throughout out our time there....which was a long time. Food tasted pretty good, I would give it another shot if i were in town. With a properly staffed shift this could have been a good situation. as a former waitress I did feel their pain, but things felt off the whole time. Our local friends said it was not normally like that, we must have gotten there after a rush. So check it out, and eat if it looks normal- but if you see a ton of dirty tables and 2 employees meandering around maybe its not your day.

I am a pretty easy going person at restaurants but I had to write a review about this place. We came 2 hours before our scheduled appointment at Escape OKC thinking that was PLENTY of time to order a couple of pizzas and walk down the street. Umm.... No. The restaurant wasn't even half full and we still got our pizzas approximately 5 minutes before we had to leave. After waiting for our order for an hour the waitress came by and said that we needed to pick a new pizza because they were out of a key ingredient for the one we had ordered. In addition to the insanely slow service, the entire restaurant smelled like wood varnish remover. It gave me a headache. The pizza was decent and I liked the thin crust but the smell and slow service was a real bummer.

Waited for over an hour, but the pizza still didn't show up. Horrible service, never going back to this awful restaurant.

I enjoyed my impromptu trip to pizza 23. I went at a weird time of day and I was one of two customers so I received pretty stellar service. I enjoyed the food and the restaurant was very clean and inviting. I had a side salad and the basic pepperoni pizza and I enjoyed it. It didn't blow my socks off but it was pretty good. I would like to come back and try some other menu items. It was too hot to sit on the patio but I really like that it is an option. I think it's cool you can go next door and get a discount on yogurt if you don't fill up on pizza.

For a vegetarian this place is great! The Veggie pizza is soooo good and I even get the marinara on the side because I like both the light olive oil sauce that it comes with and the marinara! Not too heavy and the thin crust has just the right crispiness! They also serve breakfast on the weekends and weekdays! Pizza for breakfast.. I'm in!

I wasn't sure there was room in my pizza life for a new fave, but Pizza 23 found it's way in! We had the The Bleu Burger and a couple of beers. As others have said, Pizza 23's crust differentiates the pizza from other local places. I did taste a hint of [insert local pizza chain], but the crust and the beer make it worth it. Our server even let my partner try a beer sample before she committed to a full glass, which is always appreciated.

I went here on the recommendation of a friend. I was somewhat disappointed. Seemed to me like it was overpriced for what you get. We ordered a large with pepperoni and sausage. The meat portions seemed skimpy, and the pizza took over thirty minutes to get (they weren't busy at all, by the way). The waiter didn't seem very interested in being at work either. Had to flag him down for refills, and for the check. He left with the credit card, took over ten minutes to come back with it and the receipt. They sure don't seem like they get in a hurry here.

I've been here a coupla times and I'm just in love with the place. If you're not actively looking for it, you'd probably drive right by it. But, if you do manage to stop by...you won't be disappointed. It's a quaint little place with a slick modern look and an exremely friendly staff. For a place that isn't "bar first" oriented, they have an impressive selection of beers and wines. (They offer a coupla beers that even McNellie's doesn't have.) The crowd is varied, from older couples to kiddos, but it never gets obnoxiously loud or unpleaseant in Pizza 23. As for the food, the Missus and I order 2 of their small house salads and a large Mediterranean pizza. The salad far surpassed what I expected, as I am always hesitant about the quality of a salad at a pizza place. It was a nice mix of spinach and romaine with a lot of bacon. Most importantly, it tasted fresh. It didn't have that, "been sitting in the refrigerator for 3-4 days" taste. Also, the salad was filling. Their small salad isn't necessarily huge, but when you start loading it down with bacon, it becomes very filling. I only made it through half of mine to save room for the main event. Their pizza is unbelievably good. As noted, I ordered the Mediterranean. With every single bite, the pizza revealed a new taste. The chicken was perfectly cooked, so that it wasn't dry. The sauce was rich. The spinach wasn't shredded, or diced, or chopped, or whatever else pizza places due to spinach. Instead, Pizza 23 said, "Why the hell not?" and threw whole spinach leaves on the pizza. It was something that I really liked, being the big spinach fan that I am. We we're full on only half of a large pizza and opted to take the rest home. And let me say this...when I reheated the pizza in the oven, the taste was not diminished AT ALL! The chicken was a tad dry, but that is to be expected. Overall, this is one of my favorite eats in the city and I will most certainly be back!

This is not a big chain pizza place, they DO NOT hide their fresh toppings with bunch of cheese. The pizza was much better than I expected. Great crust and toppings. We got The Mediterranean, there was an excellent balance of toppings and sauce on a cracker type crust. I order the chop salad it was more of a small $5 dinner salad, the value wasn't there for that one. The sun dried tomatoes were cut just right, so the spicy sweetness from them was the only thing you could taste when you bit in t them. Our server was lacking, we could had used more attention. But he seemed to be trying to clean up from lunch and get out of there. The bartender did so a better job taking care of us. It is hard to hear in there and even harder to hear with kids talking and running around. I will come back and suggest to others. I'm just hoping that the service is better and parents would control their kids better. If not take them to CiCi's.

I really like Pizza 23. I ordered a small vegetarian pizza and it was delicious! I love the crust: it is the perfect medium between thick and thin and the pizza itself had a lot of veggies on it! We also ordered the Rumble bread which was good, but nothing amazing. My friend ordered the Mediterranean pizza which she said was fantastic and it looked like it. These pizzas are less gourmet style than places like the Wedge, but I think Pizza 23 tastes much better. I would place it somewhere on a spectrum between the Wedge and Hideaway. I like the inside of the restaurant. It has a very modern feel to it and it looks very nice and clean. I was a little disappointed that they charged me $0.50 for a side of marinara that I ordered. If they had told me it wasn't free, I wouldn't have gotten 2 of them. But it's okay since I was able to use my Keep It Local card for 10% off my pizza. This restaurant is in a good location for the up-and-coming 23rd street revamp. I also like that there is an orange leaf right next door (and so did my daughter). We will definitely be back!

I have tried @Pizza23OKC several times at various events and have gotten it for take-out, but I had not ever dined in until Tuesday. I love the location. 23rd street, Uptown, area is up and coming. There is a lot more planned renovations, but boy has it come far in the last few years! I used to live very close to Pizza 23 when I went to OCU, but I never considered 23rd street to be a cool hang out. Pizza 23 is located in a completely renovated building. They are sandwiched between an Orange Leaf frozen yogurt and a new vapor shop. They are neighbors with Big Truch Tacos. The inside of Pizza 23 is nice. It is clean, bright, and minimally decorated in a good way. They have a nice bar as well as a fantastic patio. In fact, I think their patio is one of OKC's secrets. Ample seating on a busy street with good food. And 23rd street is prime people watching real estate, so sitting on their patio can provide a lot of entertainment. The service was good. Our waitress was friendly and kept our drinks filled and made sure we were happy. She was quiet, but that isn't a bad thing. The owner stopped by our table several times to see how we liked our food. We were able to get a sampling of pizza, so he wanted to know which was our favorite. I watched him interact with other customers, his staff, and a maintenance person who was working on their keg lines. He was super friendly, but obviously managing, which I appreciate. I wish more owners were visible in restaurants, especially local ones. The individual attention and genuinely caring about our experience will keep us coming back. As for the pizza, it is yummy! I have tried their plain pepperoni at an event, and it was perfectly cheesy with good quality, peppery pepperoni. For take out, we got the Smoking Okie, which is a BBQ pizza with jalepenos. Sounds weird, especially for this Italian girl, but it was actually very good. I appreciate Pizza 23's interesting flavor combiniations and good quality ingredients. They have some pizzas with avacados, some with various fresh cut veggies, and lots of good quality meat. At the tasting, I was able to try their Margherita pizza. OMG! It was incredible. They actually used red and yellow cherry tomoatoes instead of the traditonal slices. They have a very roasted flavor, which brings out their sweetness. I also got a strong garlic flavor, but not sure from where. Delish! Their crust isn't my favorite, but that is simply a personal preference. It is a very flavorful crust, which makes it special. It doesn't just taste like flour. My husband described is at crispy and flavorful; he is right. It is nice having a crust that doesn't get soggy with toppings. A few people have mentioned in Yelp reviews that the toppings didn't have cheese covering them, so the toppings fell off. 1) not using a ridiculous amount of cheese allows you to taste the loads of fresh ingredients. 2) Not many "artisan" pizza places put cheese on top of the toppings. The Wedge doesn't. Either does Joey's. I just don't think, IMO, it is that big of a deal. All in all, I am excited that Pizza 23 is around and I wish them continued success. Go give them a try. p.s. They have an $8 salad and small pizza lunch special during the week. Also, use your Keep It Local card for 10% off any one pizza.

From the looks of it, Pizza 23 looks like a chain. I really didn't wanna give it a chance, but living so close to 23, I eventually caved. Every pizza is super delicious! Our family loves it so much, we've started ordering from here like once a week (!) - which is somewhat shameful. The Wedge has always had from favorite pie, but I think Pizza 23 has won the pizza competition in my heart. Bottom line: it's good, give it a try!

It's a good thing the pizza here is so good. It always makes me forget how bad the service was until the next time I come here to eat. The rumble bread is awesome; lots of garlic and Parmesan. The pizza is amazing here. I love the thin crust and the generous amount of toppings that they put in the pizza. We usually get either the Carnivore or the Mediterranean and both are great. The Carnivore has so much bacon. So. Much. Bacon. The service here is awful. We usually wait 5+ minutes after being seated before a server comes to take our drink order. I am frequently sitting with an empty glass and the servers seem to disappear once they drop the pizza at your table until they bring the check. This most recent visit, the server dropped off the pizza and I only had half glass of tea left. He didn't refill it and I was left with nothing to drink about 1/2 slice in. When he brought the check, I asked for more to drink and he said "oh, sorry I just dumped the tea" If they could get the service issues resolved, this place would be top notch.

The pizza is wonderful. Restaurant TOO LOUD! You can't even talk to someone across from you. They have tried to help by putting up sound boards but it doesn't do much.

We were happy to check out @Pizza23OKC this weekend and we will definitely go back. The pluses are many: a wonderful beer list comprised almost entirely of our best local brews. The location is second to none and the atmosphere, ambience and modern feel is perfect. Our server (whose name I did not get but she was darling and had a Spy FM sticker on her server wallet - love) was wonderful and took great care of us despite the busy pace of the bustling restaurant. I just think it is a really different kind of pizza to what I'm accustomed to, and knowing that I think I would order differently next time. We make pizza at home, and we go light on the cheese with a fairly thin crust and lots of veggies. This pizza was the opposite and since I didn't really know to expect that, it was way too rich for me. I can see how some absolutely love this style. Pizza 23 has a thick crust with a lot (a lot) of cheese. We ordered the margarita and it had a ton of cheese and not many tomatoes. We also had the Italian, and it was flavorful but I did not love the style of sausage. With so much cheese it was almost too much. I would definitely like to try it again, and order with light cheese as I always do at Hideaway. The salads were big and very delicious. I probably should have gone for a big salad and just one piece of pie! Again, lovely place. I just had to have it once to know how to order it to my precise liking. :)

Exactly what my girlfriend and I were looking for on a Sunday at 3 in the afternoon. My friend got the kid's PB&J pizza, which was a pleasant surprise. The crust is flakey on the bottom. I got the Italian pizza. It was a classic Italian but the sausage was big chunks which I liked. Service was great, and I would love to come back and try more!

Pizza23 - I think we should just be friends. It's not you... It's me. You're so close to the house and the pizza was great. I think you're in a terrific spot with the planned renovations on 23rd Street. And good grief, there's a frozen yogurt place right next door when we were looking to wrap up the night. But you're kinda expensive for my tastes. And your pizzas. Well... They're kinda... Small. But you're super cute and have a great personality. I hope we can stay friends. I'll tell The Wedge and Joey's Pizza you said hello. tanner

DISCLAIMER: I haven't ate here yet Now I know all you yelp-heads are going to be throwing a fit over that, telling me to go review the arbys or something like that bla bla bla i dont care i dont care i dont care quit it, I gave it that precious 5 stars isn't that enough? Jesus. Christ But I know people who have eaten here, and if you're still reading then you've probably stopped shaking your fist and choking on your mt dew and you'll finally listen to me. I've heard the pizza crust is basically like pie crust, isn't that funny? hahaha, like it's just funny to think about it. Could be true, I don't know. Try it out! Shredder signing out.

Why this place isn't packed constantly, I can't understand. Okie do indeed love them some pizza, whether it's the cheap dough wads that come from numerous chains and low-end delivery shops, or other more pricey options that seem to ride their reputations more than their actual execution (it's not bad, it's just not THAT good). Pizza 23 frickin' rocks. No lie. The secret is the crust. There's butter in that crust. You heard me, butter. So the taste is bumped up a notch, but more importantly the crust is unbelievably tender. It holds the toppings without breaking down, but it doesn't have the tough glutens that ruin a lot of other pies. Amazing salads, a well-curated beverage selection, big-screens on the wall for game time, a clean inviting space, friendly staff...I'm struggling to thing of a down side. OK, our tab for two mediums, two salads, an app and drinks was in the sixty dollar range including tip. Consider that two members of our party were tweens, and that bumps the likely check average into the $15-20 pp range. Pricey? Compared to the big names, perhaps. This, however, is definitely a situation of you get what you pay for. And surprise, surprise: sometimes quality really does win out over quantity. Make your meal be more about the pleasure on your taste buds, not how many notches you have to loosen your belt afterward. You should go to Pizza 23 like you should vote: early and often.

Pizza 23 is one of the classier pizza joints in OKC. It is a nice place for a casual date. Their menu has a good selection and their prices are spot on. The employees are kind and quick. It is a great choice, and in a city with so many good pizza places it is understandably hard to stand out. Keep an eye on this place, I imagine it will keep getting better as they grow.

Pizza 23 is a pretty good spot for pizza and is big enough to be decent for a hangout spot with friends but it wouldn't be too crowded and loud since it's a medium sized building. (****) The Bacon Mac-a-Delic - Alfredo Sauce, Macaroni Noodles, Mozzarella Cheese, Feta, Cheddar Cheese, & Bacon (small $14): Sounds like a weird pizza and it is. That's why I got it! It's actually pretty good. They certainly don't skip on the toppings and they mastered the TMNT cheese physics. (***) Rumble Bread - Fresh made Dough baked and topped with House Oil & Garlic sauce and grated parmesan ($5): Pretty good but nothing all that great. If I returned to P23, I probably wouldn't get this again. 1.) A small pizza is enough (or more than enough) for one person, 2.) I'm already paying likely $14 for just myself unless I'm sharing a small pizza. Now, here's my dilemma... at what point does quality equalize with price? I think that while P23 has some good pizza, there isn't much justification for a small pizza costing $14. Yes, it can feed one hungry person and probably 2 sort of hungry people. But you can feed someone for less than $14, especially when it comes to pizza. All in all, yes, I would return. Though I would get a pizza others would like so we could split it and balance out the cost.

There are many pizza places in okc. Almost too many, and I have to say, this one is not my favorite. Their pizza is not bad and if offered some I would gladly eat it. It is actually somewhat unique in their crust. I think they use cornmeal or something in it, but otherwise, just kind of a meh pizza. It is a popular place to grab a drink and maybe watch a game though, so not bad there.

For what you pay at this place, it really isn't worth it. The pizza is obviously not made on a stone or in a wood/coal oven, so the prices are kind of absurd. Imagine having Little Ceasars with ingredients someone got from the organic section of Target. That's kind of what this pizza is like. (I had a medium thin crust pepperoni.) Bread is super buttery, and the flavor dominates every bite. The pepperoni is tasteless, while the super greasy cheese is thicker than the soggy crust below. The sauce was unevenly distributed, with the majority of slices having no sauce at all. In other words, when the pizza comes out, it'll look alright. You'll eat a few slices and be like "yeah, this is acceptable". But you'll quickly regret your decision and start to feel a bit sick, as I now feel. Also, for like $13? I could get twice the pizza from a crappy national chain and be equally satisfied. I'd recommend only if you're super desperate for pizza, happen to be in the area, and really want to sit down.

Fail! Epic fail! You weren't very busy tonight and your hostess told us she was the only server and we'd have to wait 25 min for a table. Do better! Won't be back.

The power of suggestion. I saw a film last night at deadCenter that featured a fleeting glimpse of a thin crust pizza, and whaddaya know, an hour and a half later, I high-tailed it to Pizza 23, ordered a small half-margherita, half-meat lovers' (whatever they call it), sat outside on the breezy patio, and tapped my foot a bit impatiently while I waited for the magic to happen. The string lights on the patio and the tunes, together with the smiles on the boys running the house, were pleasant accompaniment, helping me keep chill despite my roaring munchies. (Drinking my dinner didn't work out the way I'd suspected.) I resisted the urge to open the box while I was driving (only because I didn't want to drop big juicy pieces of meat or fresh cherry tomatoes on my pretty white shirt; not because I have an inhuman will power). BUT the pizza box didn't make it to the table. I opened the box on the countertop, leaned over and INHALED 3 pieces. Oh my, oh my, oh my. Granted, I had a beastly hunger. However, I think the crust has improved considerably since my last visit, with a slight buttery saltiness and chew that really complements the toppings. Both the margherita and meat lovers' toppings were super fine. Hit. the. spot. Thanks for the suggestion, @deadCenter.

Pizza 23 by far has the best pizza in OKC. I've had different varieties but my favorite is the simplistic medium cheese pizza with crushed red pepper. It is absolutely amazing. There's something about the taste that just makes me fall in love with their pizza. Not only is the pizza good, but the service is good and the appearance is good. It's very modern/contemporary with a nice patio. This is a great spot to grab a few friends and sit and eat some very good pizza. I would strongly recommend anyone to try Pizza 23. It's on par with pizza from Chicago and New York. I will definitely be going back multiple times before I leave OKC in June!!

Pizza23 has definitely become a go-to spot for my family and friends. It's got a great atmosphere, and even better food. Our service was great, and although the wait for food was a tad but long, it was absolutely worth it. Our waiter was really nice and incredibly attentive. The house salad is absolutely stellar, and the cilantro dressing on top was to DIE for! We had the Carnivore pizza too, and it was fantastic too. The amount of toppings and the thin crust was perfect. Desert pizza (!) was wonderful too, and it was the perfect end to our night. All in all, it's an awesome little spot that's totally worth it, in my opinion!

Saw on Facebook earlier today that they are open till 11 pm on Sunday. So, we came here at 9 pm for a late dinner. Atmosphere: clean and crisp. Decent music playing. Though it was a tad too loud which could be because of the music combined with the concrete floors. Also, there are 3 TVs here all on different channels. That was kind of distracting. Food: We had their gluten free pizzas which unfortunately only come in the small size. One pizza was The Worx and the other was a vegetarian with chicken added. They were good but basically same price as The Wedge but just regular pizzas, not gourmet ingredients. Service: Excellent! Attentive and friendly.

I can not believe all the gaga sparkling reviews for this place. The pizza is good, the atmosphere is cute, but $22 for a 14"? Seriously? The place is radically, insanely overpriced. Naturally, I expect to pay more for a well made pizza than a chain pizza, but literally double priced? Absolutely not. The quality just isn't good enough to justify costing double, either. I would recommend that if you want gourmet, go to the wedge. If you just want an everyday pizza go... anywhere else, other than a chain, and pay more like $15-18. To make a comparison, their "Large" is the same size as a Hideaway's Medium ($16- 17 for most of their specialty pies) or a Papa John's Large ($10-12 if you're smart enough to use their website and google "papa john's coupon", or just take advantage of their special offers). Last but not least, a very limited toppings menu. Which would be okay, if it weren't the toppings menu from almost literally every other pizza place, with the only interesting things being... Mexican food toppings? The place is roughly 25 yards from Big Truck Tacos. If you're feeling in a Mexican food mood, why would you be at the pizza place instead of the taco place? Even if you were a morbidly obese person, you could walk from the Pizza place, to the taco place, without breaking a sweat. (Assuming it's not 100 degrees out, but you get what I'm saying.) This is even more true, when both restaurants have patios, and if someone wanted pizza, and someone else wanted a taco or burrito, you could just get food separately, and then meet up on either patio, and never have any conflicts. QED.

Pizza 23 is definitely a cute little spot to grab some great pizza! You also get a discount next door at Orange Leaf if you take them your Pizza 23 receipt. I am strange, and really love my pizza with no tomato sauce, and this is the perfect place for that! The veggie pizza and the Mediterranean pizza has a type of oil on it for the sauce and it is AH MAYZING! Their chips and guacamole is really great too.Definitely one of my top 3 pizza places in the OKC area. :)

Cool, simplistic restaurant to dine inside or outside. 23rd Street is in renovation mode, so Pizza 23 got in its location just in time. The PROS of Pizza 23 - waitress was friendly, Hawaiian Luau (pineapple & bbq ckn) / the Carnitas (pulled pork w/ pico de gallo) was tasty, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I like the simple layout of the restaurant and I'm a sucker for full size glass windows. They offer adult beverages, but unfortunately, I have never acquired the taste for it so I can't comment on quality there. But yay, they have alcohol. The CONS of Pizza 23 - the picture doesn't show it, but there was a lot of cheese. I like cheese, but when I'm dining out at a pizza restaurant, I prefer more meat/veggies, you know, the goods. Haha... I've noticed pizza restaurants usually make their dough a little thinner, but at Pizza 23, it's average. If I'm going to spend a little more dollars on pizza, I don't prefer it going towards cheese and dough. If you like your pizza not too thin and cheesy, Pizza 23 will prob be a 5* place for you. Price is average for a dine in pizza restaurant. Atmosphere is pretty cool, pretty nice place to go on a date. And don't forget, they have tall glass windows... Fancy.

For some reason I've been hesitant to try this place. We finally came today and I'm soooo glad we did! The pizza is awesome!! The crust is thin and flakey, unlike any other pizza in the city. All the toppings are yummy. We had the worx and the carnitas. They'll let you get halves. The medium is perfect for 2 if you don't get an appetizer. We got the rumble bread so there were 2 slices to take home. The rumble bread is also delicious!! We were VERY satisfied with our meal. The service was great as well. Will definitely be back!!

My friend and I sat on the patio one evening and ordered a pulled pork pizza which I highly recommend!! I didn't really like the hot wings. There was too much fat and the sauce was weak. The menu wasn't big but you can't go wrong with any of those pizzas. It was hard to choose which one to order because the ingredients listed in the descriptions all sounded amazing. We came two hours before closing time but our waitress was more concerned with her closing duties than keeping our drinks refilled. I thought about just getting up and walking inside to find anybody but the place was mostly empty and that's just awkward. Despite that, the pizza was good enough to make me want to come back and enjoy the patio. Another plus is that Pizza 23 takes Keep It Local cards!

If you want to feel like an urban hipster, go to Pizza23. I was at happy hour and just wanted a bite to eat so I didn't try any of the drinks, but was very pleased with my pizza. I ordered a medium with a friend and my size was The Worx and my friend had The Okie. We also got the side salad which came with thickly shredded mozzarella cheese, perfecto! Even though I was stuffed, I wanted more, so good! The crust, which I usually don't eat, was very tasty. I can't wait to go back and try some of the apps, the rumble bread and rib tips sound good. My only complaint is they put no cheese over the toppings and they all fall off when you pick up a slice. That was a little annoying.

I love the food. The service has always been slow, but seems to have gotten a little better the last 2 times we've been. We've decided to only go when the restaurant is near empty or we can eat outside. It's simply too loud when busy, to the point of being uncomfortable.

Being on 23rd and near the Asian District and paseo, I was expecting the decor to be more mishappen, eclectic and cozy (lovez!), but it's got more of the feel of the south of 23rd (think minimalistic clean basement ceiling piping of the coffee shops downtown) than the north but surprisingly traditional for a pizza place in this area as well (brown tables, white napkins, tv). It is a sit-down and order restaurant which I didn't expect. But as Julie said, SO nice waiters/staff. Quite a sweet and friendly environment. I loved the pizza. After reading Julie's review (much love!) I was confused because our pizza did not have thick crust at all - it was very thin. And a normal amount of cheese/toppings. I think we were at the same place. . . different pizzas? I loved the toppings and thought everything was VERY savory. The veggie was delicious (and you know how hit or miss veggie pizzas can be!) and my friend got the works and that was delicious as well. I thought it was pretty healthy and very good quality although I'm on the fence about the crust. It was a simple but good thin crust. Oh well, low carbs I guess! So I like. We allotted a good 60 seconds trying to figure out WHY pizza "23"? 23 beers? 23 pizzas? Then this morning (next day), as I was standing in the kitchen telling my mom about the place, it hit me. 23rd street. O.

Pizza 23, I'm impressed by you. You've opened my eyes to a different style. Your dough was reminiscent of a pot pie crust- flakey, buttery, savory goodness. To compare you to another pizza joint would not be fair. It would be like comparing the fried chicken from Drum Room to Bobo's. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza. 4 slices each was good enough for us. The layer of cheese was very pronounced with large, semi-thin pepperoni pieces. With so much packed in flavor, you would think the bottom of the pizza would be greasy. Not the case here. Well, except if you're counting the grease coming off of the meat or cheese- normal for a pizza (unless you can prove me wrong!) I called the order for carry out and they said it would be done in 15-20 minutes. Fast! When we walked in, the gentleman tending the bar greeted us kindly. He said our order was just coming out of the oven. Fresh! Side notes: Pricy compared to a pizza chain, but you get what you pay for. I try to eat local when I can. You've gained yourself another fan P23.

Me & my husband love this place! It's by far our favorite. Great food, drinks & service. We've never had to wait to be seated & the staff is always friendly to our daughter (most places are stuck up if you bring a kid in with you) but here they're always accepting & are super helpful. I have nothing but good things to say about Pizza23!! It's in a great up & coming location. We love that the Uptown area is being revitalized! It's a great addition to OKC! If you like ciders try Crispin & definitely get the Rumble Bread!

Like I've never had a pizza I won't eat, so I ate all 4 semi smallish slices of my split large pizza. But with each bite the curiosity cleared and I realized that I was eating what tasted just like a mazzios pizza, but for twice the price. :( oh and it took 45 minutes for our pizza, they were not busy. Double sad face :( :(

The pizza is excellent and it is easy for everyone to find something to their liking. You can split one pizza in half quite easily; great for couples. The ambience is casual-chic. It works if you want to be a little dressier or if you just want to grab a bite of good pizza. Our service was timely and efficient.

This was some really good pizza. We started out with the hummus and I'd definitely recommend it. There was a small, but well-chosen, selection of beer (check out the Black Mesa ESB - really good). We had the chicken alfredo pizza and it did not disappoint.

This place is flippin' fantastic. I've had the pleasurable experience of eating here twice, and both times it was a pizzagasm in my mouth. They have a pretty eclectic selection of pizza toppings (23 of them, I think) as well as 23 different kinds of beer to try. They've also got Pie Junkie for dessert, or Orange Leaf right next door (get 10% with your Pizza23 reciept). Bring your KeepItLocalOK card, too! Good stuff!

There's no shortage of pizza joints in OKC, but I thought I'd try another. The food was good, the staff nice enough, but otherwise nothing of note. The beer selection is fair, but not extensive enough to be a beer drinker's location. It doesn't stand out from the crowd, but it's another reasonable choice if you're in the mood for pizza. Also, it may be a little long for a midweek lunch if you need to get back to the office. I had the Carnitas pizza.

Pizza 23 has potential but not ready for OKC business yet. Went with a group of friends. Waited 20 minutes to be seated when the place was near empty. Owner was very rude and acted as if we were a burden. I have been several times for lunch without issues but I would stay awary on Friday and Saturday nights. It is also expensive. Hideaway is much better and they understand customer service. Will not be back.

Well worth the drive cross town! Great area of 23rd, up-&-coming -- we met up with a dear friend for dinner. Ambiance is a tad ommercial, but it was very comfortable seating. (Realize I nearly hated decor of California Pizza kitchen in KC Plaza). BUT the service is friendly and upbeat. However, the STAR of the show was the food, as it should be. Rumble bread is the preferred starter. We then split the Chicken Alfredo and the "Carnivore" -- both excellent choices. We had a blast dining, and look forward to repeating the trek for some great pizza. (PS-they have Crispin on Tap!!!)

You've got a lot to live up to when you decide to wear the number 23, and I'm not quite sure Pizza 23 is up for the challenge. The restaurant itself is pretty nice, at this point it's fairly new, so it's clean and has a very relaxed vibe/atmosphere. The inside does seem slightly cramped, so I'm sure it will help when the weather is nice to have the patio section open. Also, it seemed quite smoky when we went in to pick up our order. I don't know if this was a one time thing, but hopefully they get some better ventilation going. As for the food, well, me thinks not. **Rant warning: The rumble bread is an injustice to Rumble the Bison. If you've ever been to a Thunder game, you know the energy and enthusiasm that Rumble devotes to every game: beating drums, slam dunking, high-fiving, and even throwing frisbees. Well, this "rumble" bread is sad and pathetic, it might as well BE one of those frisbees. It's a thin pizza crust with some parmesan cheese sprinkled on top, which is fine and all - but don't insult Rumble like that. What did he ever do to you P23? I'd think something named rumble bread would need a lot more personality and pizzazz, and possibly something to resemble fur. A more appropriate name would be "dry bread with some pre-grated parmesan sprinkled on top". Yep, it's that depressing. Ending rant.** Aside from the rum... err, parmesan bread, I wasn't very impressed with the margherita pizza either. The crust is in limbo, can't quite decide whether it wants to be thin crust or hand tossed. There wasn't enough sauce for my liking, but seeing as the marinara sauce that accompanied the "rumble" bread wasn't very impressive, I wasn't too distraught about that. Come to think of it, there was just an overall lack of toppings, and flavor altogether. Petite little diced tomatoes were strewn across the top of the pizza here and there as opposed to large slices of whole tomato that are so characteristic of a classic margherita. I kept expecting, even hoping that Dick Vitale would pop out and shout "that's Digiorno baby!" and hopefully that would explain why the food was so bland. Alas, Dicky V. made no appearances, this was no frozen pizza folks. I hate to base a review off of one visit alone, but it's also hard for me to convince myself to give this place another try with so many other great pizza places in the area. I have no doubts that they'll do just fine based solely on the location - prime real estate when you take into account the future plans for the 23rd street area. Pizza 23 might be a decent place to kick back with a few drinks (local beers of course) and relax, but if you're looking for some great pizza, it might serve you better to look elsewhere, possibly even your freezer. Overall Grade: C

One thing I've noticed about OKC is they have a variety of pizza joints. Each one is unique and has a different style of pizza. Pizza 23 is no different! They have a variety of pizzas with unique combination of toppings. We started with the rumble bread which I really enjoyed. It had a lighter appetizer that didn't completely fill me up like a heavy cheese bread before our meal. Next we had the carnitas pizza, which had pulled pork, red onion, and pico de gallo on top along with cheese and marinara. It was pretty tasty! The restaurant had a clean, crisp, contemporary feeling inside. They also have a patio, which looks great when the weather is nice!

My Wife and I tried this spot for the first time recently. It was good gourmet pizza. You don't feel unhealthy after eating two or three slices. A little pricey for pizza but I feel like if you want cheap pizza just stay home and grab Dominos. The only reason I do say pricey is because the pizzas are very small for what you pay. It was still worth it. We split a chopped salad and medium pizza. Try the Mediterranean.

Love the pizza here. Quickly becoming a new favorite of mine and my "go-to" pizza place. Wish there was a TV in the bar instead of out of the way in the dining area. The pizza makes up for the TV placement, though.

Since I recently moved to the area, I figured I had to try the new pizza place everyone was buzzing about and I'm glad I did. This small location fills up quickly so come early if you don't want to wait as they do not take reservations. When we went I think they may have been having some kitchen issues because the dining area seemed a little smokey. It was quite loud but that is to be expected with such a small place as this. We had house salads and the chicken alfredo pizza, both were great and decently priced if you are splitting with other people. Service was excellent as well and they have an okay beer selection.

I thought the food was very good, if a mite on the expensive side. I had the lunch special (nice-sized house salad, which was delish, and a small pizza). The pizza crust was thin and delicate with a great flavor, and with the lunch special you get to choose your own three toppings (or additional for an extra charge). My main complaint about the place was the noise, because the floor is concrete and with a lunch crowd, it's LOUD in there. But the food is good!

I live within walking distance of several local OKC eateries and bars, including places to get a good pizza, so expectations were higher for our first visit. Atmosphere: We took two friends and one had recently come from a funeral for a loved one and needed cheering up. I guess if a Thunder game had been on the inside tv or there had been music or something this would have been better timing, but otherwise this was a poor choice atmosphere-wise, 8PM on a Friday night. Our waitress was just doing her job as she carded our group of mid-30-somethings (with the bereaved guy unable to drink because he only had a birth certificate on him...) but she also could not tell us the prices on any drinks and I asked if there were any specials and she looked at me like I was crazy. Probably my fault for not doing my homework- I went to Pizza 23's Facebook a few hours earlier and found nothing but a few photos with lots of likes and a few gushing reviews at the beginning (by the owners or their friends?) but they did not even say what kind of pizzas they were. I saw someone on the feedback part asking if they had an online menu and no response and no website listed so we did not know what to expect. This could type of new marketing technique but I have no idea what. Food/Ordering: Ordered beers from the bottled list and were brought two small glasses of draught beer. The server checked on us more times before we even got our pizza than after. We ordered the Margherita pizza and it was good- the thin crust was holding up a lot of heavy and salty toppings and the "sundried" tomatoes per the menu were just diced tomatoes. As another reviewer mentioned, no top mozz. cheese added over the toppings on their bases to seal the pizzas, so we had little bits of feta and chicken going everywhere. The pizza we ordered cost $22/total bill $35 and change. Place has a lot of potential and good product, staff just seems inexperienced and their web presence/marketing seems limited to Facebooking- but that's a lot of local OKC restaurants. The proximity to our home is their biggest selling point for us.

The pizza is wonderful. Restaurant TOO LOUD! You can't even talk to someone across from you. They have tried to help by putting up sound boards but it doesn't do much.

  • Meg S.

Pizza 23 has different pizza crust than I've ever had and fresh and interesting toppings. It's a bit pricy, but good if you want to have a different pizza eating experience than the okc norm.

Good stuff!

    (3)
  • Marina M.

Fancy.

QED.

I'll tell The Wedge and Joey's Pizza you said hello. tanner
